Hello teachers!! My name is Brandi, and I am so excited to welcome you to my website!
Why did I start this website?
I don’t have to tell you that our classrooms are filled with a wide range of students. Sure, they may all be the same age (or close to the same age), but their needs and abilities are wildly different.
I needed easy-to-manage ways to differentiate my instruction because I didn’t want to spend hours creating separate activities for all of these different levels. Through gaining ideas from other teachers, other bloggers and some good ol’ trial and error, I was able to come up with some differentiated activities–and more importantly, some differentiation systems–that have helped me strive to meet all of my students’ needs.
My goal with creating this website is to share these activities and ideas with you in the hopes that they’ll help you more easily–and sustainably–meet your students’ needs.
A little more about me…
- I’ve taught kindergarten and 2nd grade and was a long-term substitute in 4th grade. Second grade was my favorite. 🙂
- My husband and I love to travel, and I’ve been to 14 countries.
- I became a mom for the first time in May 2021!
- I left the classroom in 2019 to work at a school that is implementing the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. My job is the IB Coordinator, so I work with the teachers and administrators to help them implement the program and build their curriculum. I love that I’m still involved in education but have more work-life balance than I did as a classroom teacher.
- My favorite TV show is FRIENDS, and I could probably crush some FRIENDS trivia! 😉
- Popcorn, wine and cheese are essential food groups for me.
