After coming back from Winter Break, I always love to have an easy activity planned to help ease the transition back into school (I’m usually the one who needs the easing… Not the students ha!)
That’s why this go-to book and New Year Resolution For Students activity is PERFECT!! It takes pretty much no prep or planning! Plus it’s a great way to kick off the new year with your students!
I read this book aloud to my students every year! It’s a super cute story about a squirrel who has trouble coming up with a New Year’s Resolution so he goes to his friends for advice. Just click the image above to check it out on Amazon!
And this book is a great lead-in to the students writing their own New Year’s Resolutions! I created this FREE New Year Resolution for Students activity for the kids to record their resolutions. I usually back them on colored construction paper and display them in my window for the parents to read. They turn out super cute and are so fun to read!!
This FREEBIE includes a full-page version and a half-page version so that some kids can write more while others might not.
Digital Version Now Included!
I’ve created a digital version in Google Slides that you can assign to your students through Google Classroom!
The text boxes are already provided for your students to make it super easy for them to use!!
