I love it when a resource has everything I need in order to meet the needs of all of my students!
When that happens, it just makes my life so. much. easier. I don’t have to go digging around a gazillion different places trying to piece together activities to meet everyone’s learning needs.
That’s exactly why I created these 104 phonics word lists… All in one resource!
Here’s why I love these phonics word lists:
You can easily differentiate your centers!
Because there are 104 different word lists, you have plenty of phonics patterns available that will meet the needs of all of your students.
For example, one group of kiddos can work on a phonics list with CVC words while another group can work on long vowels with “magic e.”
All you need to do is print, cut in half and assign the lists to your groups.
An easy way to assign the different lists to the right groups is to put them in colored pouches/bins that match the colors of your groups (i.e. the red group gets the lists out of the red bin). Or you could print them on colored paper if you have it.

Use them with any spelling activity!
These phonics word lists are PERFECT to use with any word work or spelling activity!
Some of my favorite word work centers activities are:
- Rainbow Words: Students write each word on a piece of paper in 3 (or however many) different colors.
- Magnetic Letters: I bought cheap cookie sheets at the Dollar Tree for the students to use with their magnetic letters.
- Stamps: I bought alphabet stamps and ink pads at Lakeshore, but you can find them on Amazon or Walmart also!
- Magnadoodle (or similar magnetic writing boards)
- Scrabble Letters: Added math bonus… Have your students add up the values of their words after they build them.
And the best part? Students can complete all of these activities independently and without much hassle!
They’re easy to prep!
Just print and cut in half. That’s it!
